About John: I started playing classical piano at the age of 7, but hated practicing, always preferring to be kicking a football around or drinking Guinness, my familys Irish so I started drinking quite young. I got my musical influence from my dad as he'd played drums in quite a few bands and always wanted me to do the same, only as a musician (sorry shouldn't have a go at drummers, cant be helped). I grew up with the Stones and the Beatles being played constantly on the stereo and walking around town every Saturday with him my dad in and out of record and music shops, each week being introduced to a new sound. From an early age I always wanted to be in a band and would jam with him and my sister who played Violin, it was a bit of a mess but from that I caught the music bug. I started playing the Flute at 11 and started to get into music at school more, having jam sessions with a couple of mates but it wasnt really until I met Alex that my music writing progressed. I wrote Miss F and Truth and Trust as well as a few others, which probably should never see the light of day, and started practicing at MPM studios in Walsall. After surviving the dodgy electrics in the place, as well as the locals, we played our first gig at the Wharf Bar in Walsall and since then although having a few different drummers (and bassists), we 've got closer as a band and hopefully it'll just get better.
